Chilis
is a fruit which belongs to Capsicum genus. It has many varieties which are differentiated on its pungency measured on Scoville Scale. Chili fruit when ripened and dried becomes red chili, which is further grounded to form red chili powder. These are categorized as hot pepper.
Kashmir Chilis (PAPRIKA)
The Kashmiri chili is smaller, rounder and less pungent, but lends a very bright red color to the food. They are bred for their high color retention since they redden anything capable of absorbing color. The Kashmiri chili powder is a blend of medium quality red pepper mostly used for tandoori dishes.
Byadgi KDL chilis
Its GI tag is 129. Byadagi chillies come in two types: dabbi and kaddi. Byadagi dabbi, which is small and plump, is more popular for its colour, flavour and taste. Though it has more seeds, it is less spicy compared to the kaddi variety.
Syngenta 5531 Chilis
Durability of MEDIUM. Though this chilli is a perfect combination of high heat, best color, it is suggested that the Syngenta 5531chilli be used within 9 to 10 months for best results.

Teja chili is a fine variety of Guntur chili. ... The skin of crushed chili is thick, red and hot. It has its peak harvesting season from December to May. The annual Production of this type is approximately 280,000 tons. It has an ASTA Color value of 50-80 and Pungency is 35-45 SHU.

Byadagi chilli is an important ingredient in spicy preparations like Bisi bele bath, sambar, chutneys and other food items of South India and is widely used in the Udupi cuisine. It is also used in meat preparations because of the bright red colour that it imparts to the meat.[3] 25 industries in and around Byadagi are involved in grinding these chillies into powder and selling them to masala manufacturers like MTR Food Products.
